PR: Young Designer Competition (Harisons)

Client: Harisons KL Harisons KL is a premium fabric and departmental store.

Campaign: Young Designer Competition Description: As a campaign to highlight Harisons' key product of fabric as well as to engage in a younger demographic than the usual customer base for Harisons, I was in charge of spearheading the Young Designers Competition. Open to students studying fashion design, Harisons would award the winner with an opportunity to launch their own fashion line under the Harisons umbrella of brands, along with sponsoring the contestants with the fabric supplies needed for their entries (with the first round of the competition would see contestants sending in drawings of their designs). With the team at Misteeq Media, we not only promoted the contest to relevant colleges with a fashion programme, we also collected and managed the first entries. Personal key achievement: I was able to engage 4 celebrity designers namely Justin Yap, Nurita Harith, Azlan Adrian Arif and Khoon Hooi to agree to be judges and mentors for the competition, and personally interviewed them to create promotional videos for the competition.
